I'm going with the umpa lumpa camp. I think that with their dances and little winks they would lead the opposition into a false sense of security, then, when they were least expecting it; POW! They'd throw a chocolate log at the little blighters, cover their yellow brick road with chocolate spread (probablly nutella) and laugh at them. They would be stunned and confused at this point, and this would give the umpa lumpas time to stick toffes in their ears and eyes and run away, thus winning the fight.
