PLEASE DON'T SPAM THE FORUM. ONE POST ASKING THESE QUESTIONS WOULD HAVE BEEN SUFFICIENT. I WAS JUST GOING TO DELETE THESE AND ASK YOU TO POST AGAIN BUT THEN I THOUGHT THAT AT LEAST THIS COULD BE USED AS A BAD EXAMPLE OF FORUM POSTING.

It is possible that a starter metal MIGHT be a fix for you if your roof has no overhang and its possible for water to get behind your fascia board. This is usually possible when the roofing material is damaged at or not hung over the fascia board far enough. Since there is rotten decking in the area I would think that it is. You'll probably want to repair the rotten decking and patch the area with some new materials. A competent contractor can probably help you call the shots here.
