First off,for everybody that responed, I consider the Ford vs. Chevy debate over. The new performance scene is really a debate over import vs. domestic. Its your V8 vs. some wannabe's 4 cylinder with a k&n air filter and a fartcan. These guys consider a crappy paint job and a huge spoiler real performance mods. They never do their own work and are usually just full of it. Domestics have gotten a bad rap as far as quality and now many Americans are buying imports. I don't want to drive a little piece of crap civic with ground effects and a huge wing. I want the American auto industry to take the scene back by beating the crap out of all of those pathetic 4 bangers—give'em no excuse when they get dusted. I don’t care if it is Ford, Chevy, Dodge or who ever it is as long as I hear that good ol' dual exhaust with the V8 in the front. I want the domestics to continually innovate and improve their engines so they get max power and torque out of them. Utilize the displacement, innovate. I encourage any modernizing of the old, basic engine designs. The fact that they are still using the same basic engine designs is not a testament to the domestics supposed lack of technology, but a testament to how good the original designs were. Long live the V8! And if you are wondering, I am not an old hotrod guy, I'll be 20 in a few months.
