First of all, you schmuck, Chevy's 5.7L 350 cid engine is a small block , not a big block. And the 289 cid ford never outperformed Chevy's 350. It didn't even make close to as much power.

If you remember from back in the day ford's mustang engines never made more power than chevy's corvette/camaro engine. Ford has always lacked the power that chevy delivered. Look at the '87-'93 mustang. 225 hp for the gt, 235 for the cobra. Look at the TPI powered camaros '82-'92. 245 hp for the iroc-z. 250 hp for the TPI vette.

'94-'98 mustang gt 215-225 hp. '93-'97 camaro z28 275-285 hp. '94-'98 cobra 240-305 hp. '96-'97 ss 305 hp. '99-'04 gt 260 hp. '98-'02 z28 305-310 hp. '99-'04 cobra 320-390 hp. '98-02 ss 320-325 hp. '97-'04 vette 345-405 hp. Nuff said!!!!
