I could make the same arguement about useing warpdrive in the middle of battle. Since we have not seen any one use warpdrive used on screen that way either. It is only used to escape from the battle, same as in star wars. I do think it wouls be a good tactic, it has just never been used on screen so, there may be a reason. Like the ones you just brought up, but there might also be ways around that such as pre-planned jumps. We have seen pre-planned maneauvers like Attack pattern Delta, or pattern Riker One.
