If a gravity field projected a scattering effect like you are talking about, then to produce the interference you are talking about would be more then enough to CRUSH the interdictor cruiser. If you want to argue this, show me in a movie where an interdictor cruiser was used to stop a warp drive. (oh wait) They wern't in the movies. There for I find that statement to be inaccurate. If you want to continue. The power needed to drop a ship out of warp would have to be highly localized and the TrekShip could then outrun your puney little interdictor cruiser, and reach the outer point of the scattering field and jump to warp to escape your little flyfigters.
