Subject: womens body or not
In reply to: Brenna 's message, "Re: nicely done ray and john" on 13:59:44 07/11/02 Thu

Are you seriously saying that after 8 months the baby is still simply part of the womens body? The baby IS thinking, at 8 months, impulses can be sent through the brain to run bodily functions. It is VERY possible to have a baby born a month prematurely and survive. These partial birth abortions are actually giving birth halfway, with the mid torso down protruding from the women, where the legs, then midsection are hacked off and tossed out. They then continue to take a scissors to the brain, and suction the brain out so it fits easier for a women.
THAT is not only abortion but an awful mutilation, all b/c the women needed 8 months to decide. Couldn't you decide in the first trimester? I completly understand the woman has a different view than the man, and also believe that an abortion or a child is very burdensome for males as well. But when the baby could live on its own, think on its own, feel pain, i think we have gone too far.
