Dan, I understand that Ray is a good friend of yours, even though i dont know who you are, but i think you may be missing the point. First, let me say that lately i have been very good friends with Ray as well (for the past year or so), and i respect him as a person, probably more than any person i am friends with. This however doesnt mean that he is perfect, none of us are. But let me say this... i am a firm follower of the idea of practice what you preach, a concept which i myself am struggling to follow, but doing a fair job i believe. In any case, Ray did say a lot about how the views of the skateboard pot smokers of the board didnt have valid opinions for that reason, and his actions at the party seemed to contradict that some. I will now try to just talk for brenna for a sentence or two cuz she is in Maine for a while, when she gets back, she will tell you if i misrepresented her. I dont think she ever said that smoking marijuana made you any less of a descent human being, and neither does social drinking. So its like this, Ray did something that Ray didnt aprove of, not that Brenna didnt approve of. I wish we could all drop the bickering over light drug use though. It may not be the most respectable way to spend a friday night but its generally harmless fun unless taken to an extreme. I still respect ray as much as i ever have, i just dont think that a person's ideas are suddenly invalid because they had a few beers at a party or smoked a cigar, its really time to drop it.
