] Date Posted: 12:47:06 08/19/02 Mon As practice attendance surges up and down, it becomes clear that rules need to be spelled out for all members in an unmistakeable fashion. These are your responsibilities, and though not all that difficult they are important. 1. Attend 2 out of 3 practices a week. If you cannot meet this requirement a notice needs to posted on this forum and only on this forum. Don't tell Can, me, or anyone, just post it so there' no confusion. 2. If you're coming to practice be there on time. On time means a minimum of 5 minutes early, though you should be there at least 15 min in advance. 3. Have a presence in Tribes. Idle in our irc servers, use this forum, etc. 4. Recruit. Recruit. Recruit. Recruit. 5. *New* Members need to contribute to the growth of ion by doing things such as a) recording demos b) writing short how-to guides. c) Spending time helping other members with new skills. 6. *New* Every member needs to have a home page that they can use for multiple things such as uploading files, positing info, etc. We have a great site here, but it's difficult to get things posted quickly. (Refer to rule #5). I recommend using www.geocities.com. Free and no knowledge required. Doesn't have to be fancy, just practical. YOu must come up with a new article no less than once every three weeks. We're strict about these requirements, and have kicked some members who haven't met them. However, after going through all the work it takes to reserve a server, organize practices, recruit, etc, it's not worth our time to support those who aren't willing to give back.
