Jennifer Schell From Venezuela was crowned the 1st ever Miss Tourism of the Millennium in Addis Ababa Ethiopia on the 3rd Nov. in a contest the was attended by 37 beauties from around the world, Jennifer, a student of political science said she plans to undergo internship at the African Union and would promote Ethiopia's tourism potential to the rest of the world, Miss Costa Rica: Sylvania Sanchez was 1st runner up, Kattisia Kouta from Rep of Congowas 2nd runner up, Rounding out the top 5 were Miss Japan Noriko Onoh, and Palesa Makwa Miss South Africa.

The Miss Tourism of the Millennium® was the first international beauty pageant ever to be organised in Ethiopia, and was specially organized by the Ethiopian Life Foundation and Beauties of Africa Inc to celebrate the Ethiopian Millennium and promote Tourism in Ethiopia, the franchise is exclusively is owned by Andy Abulime the leading organizer of Beauty pageants in Ethiopia.

Among the international celebrity judeges were:
Carmin Martinez: Miss Europen Union 2007,
Rachael Nyameyo: Miss International Kenya 2006,
Hannah Osunsina: Miss Black Britain 2007.

The 2008 edition of the pagent is expepcting to invite over 60 delegates, and will be held once again in Ethiopia in October 2008.
