I don't think he said anything about a dog being more protective or less protective than a bitch. I thought that the poster simply said he wanted a dog instead of a bitch, which isn't unheard of. I know people that want bitches instead of dogs and others that prefer dogs instead of bitches. I haven't found one sex to be any more protective than another. It depends on the individual. Yes a mother is protective of her young, while she is nursing them and soon after but they are no more protective of their people than a dog could or would be. Bitches don't protect because they think you are their puppy. I don't think any Doberman or canine for that matter is that stupid.

Are you still breading Doberman and do you know a breeder in Ireland at 2 oos kennels or Two O's kennels? I met an old lady who was with a beautiful Doberman and said that the dog came from this breeder, but I cannot locate them. Can you help please.
