It has to do with breed type. It would be like having a polka dotted Doberman. The Doberman is a dog that is recognized for specific characteristics, the pattern that is designated if part of those characteristics. It does not have anything to do with dilution or breeding black to black. It has to do with breeders attempting to adhere to the standard of the breed. Why have a Doberman that doesn't look like a Doberman is supposed to look? Go to the humane society and you can find thousands of solid black dogs. No good breeder would breed for something that is directly opposed to the breed standard. Just like they don't breed for flavistic saddled Dobermans or ticked Dobermans. It is caused by someone not caring enough about adhering to the standard and I would wonder what else they didn't care enough about too. It is like that stupid "rare" stuff that people that don't know what they are doing use all the time to try to sell dogs that no one that knew or cared any better would produce in the first place. If you don't like Dobermans, don't get one. If you like Dobermans, get one that is bred by someone that knows what they are doing and cares about the breed.

What is it you like about the Doberman?

Really? And can you explain why you say that? Is it because you don't have anything else to say? Somewhat limited vocabulary.

Instead of showing what a complete idiot you are, why not address what was stated or are you incapable of doing that?

You, whatever and whomever you are, are inept as you cannot discuss the idiocy that would purposefully produce Dobermans completely lacking in breed type. Might as well get a black lab or any black mongrel and play like you have a Doberman without markings. If you don't like this breed, maybe you can have the brains to select another that is more suitable.
