The crowd seems to like them too, from their reactions and all the betting on them. That sound you don't like is from high rpm something that most car folks are not too familiar with. That smooth high pitched wail is music to my ears. Heck, if we weren't there, you would just have dead time between the rounds with nothing on the track. No one likes a quiet drag strip.
