Subject: He was in his office....

Trying to get his work done, but his mind, as always, was on her. His finger tapped restlessly against the desk as he leaned back with his feet up - staring expectantly at the door. A hand ran through his already mussed hair, his gaze dark and waiting. She was probably wandering around the grounds somewhere, he wanted her to wander his way.

She had been out and around, mostly just being a little girl. It was good to be back in his good graces, and she had been trying not to make a pest of herself. She had, however, picked up a stray kitten at the shelter, and had brought it with her - for company. The two made their way up the stairs and toward the den where his office was set up, on the way to the bedroom to change out of the damp tshirt she had acquired during a breif romp in the woods. She took in a shaky long breath and let it out slowly, pressing her cheek against his hair, her dark eyes closed. She'd not said the "L" word in direct relation with "I" and "you" but if there were ever a time to feel like using that tricky little combination of words, it was right now.
