Hello, Roberta Lynn. Sometime in the '50's you recorded a song I wrote: "It's Just a Wedding Ring"... the rest of the first verse was:"what a foolish little thing to cry about.
It's just a golden band you slipped upon my hand I'll get
by without..."
I'm hoping that there is still some way for me to get a copy of the LP or the 78 that it came out on. I had one, it was a 45 I think, but after moving around so much in my life it has disappeared.
I, too, am still writing songs, country music, and lived in Nashville for a year or so, got my song, "Mountain Rose" recorded by The Burrito Brothers at CBS but the record never got released.
Do you remember the song? I don't know what label you were recording with back then. Sure would appreciate your help in locating a copy of you singing this song. I remember my mother wept when she heard it. She couldn't believe, back then, that I had any songwriting talent. Your record proved her wrong. Could you please help me?
Thank you for your time,
Faith Frances Berlin. Maiden name: LeRoy
