Hi Susan,

I to have a daughter with waist length hair and she is a little older than your daughter. I feel that you should have the say in how your daughter wears her hair. I know it would be less maintainence for you. I also been trying to get my daughter to cut her hair at least to her shoulders and I'm having a hard time. I can always cut her hair shorter at a another time. I also cut hair for a living with over 15 years experience. She knows I can cut her hair in a nice style. Reciently I started to show her pics of various different short style bobs ranging from the lengths of shoulder to chin lengths. I'm trying to get her interest in cutting her hair short maybe if she sees a pic of a style she likes maybe she would agree to cut her hair. As for you Susan I suggest you try showing your daughter some pics of different short bob styles and try to get her interest in cutting her hair short. I think just cutting her hair at this time would make you and look like the bad guy. I think your daughter would cut her hair if she saw a pic of a style she really liked.
