It's the "PLATFORM" concept that has ruined the Miss A program. Even though we'd all like to be activists for a good cause -- and Miss A at one time had the ultimate opportunity to accomplish this nationwide -- zeroing in on a single area only limits the scope of that activism. Additionally, so-called "resume queens" will never capture the attention of a national audience. A decade and a half of not being able to make heads or tails of how the judges came to award the various Miss As their titles has turned the public off -- maybe for good. It's simply no fun to watch -- yr after yr -- the very best on-stage contestants finish merely as 'also rans' ...It's time we took back our pageant (yes, I said it, PAGEANT)! There won't be a competiton left if something isn't done soon to turn the tide.
