UNLV Softball announced the dates of its two winter camps and coaches clinic.

Camps offered are for players and coaches in December.

LAS VEGAS - The UNLV softball program has set its dates for the Fifth Annual Winter Advanced Softball and Coaches Clinic Camps. The Advanced Softball Camp is scheduled from Monday, Dec. 17 to Wednesday, Dec. 19, while the Coaches Clinic is set for Monday, Dec. 17 and Tuesday, Dec. 18.

The advanced camp is primarily for "serious" high school aged campers only looking to develop their level of play. The camp will involve long days of intense instruction that will promote "solid technique" in both offensive and defensive play. The camp will feature over 17 college coaches plus an assortment of former/current college players to aid in the development of the campers.

The coaches clinic will develop sound and usuable information of many aspects of the game. The clinic will have two days of topics that will focus on fundamentals and troubleshooting of flaws in players. Topics will include advanced fundamentals in catching, hitting, pitching, outfield/infield play, bunting/base running/slapping, drills and strength and conditioning principles.
