Having been deterred from hunting the other two humans, the black and red gryphon slinks through the outward airduct into the house. He squirms out through the airduct into the upper crawlspace and proceeds to track Seifer's scent from the floorboards. Locating the freshest scent, he digs his claws into the boards and insulation. And with one mighty movement, he rips apart the floor/ceiling and comes down through the house to alight in front of Seifer.
