The Storm

Desperately searching
for something
while pelted by driving rain
I grasped at limbs
like outstretched hands
was scratched, but didn't feel pain.

Lightning flashed as I struggled
and I glimpsed
what the future may hold
a path with two forks
a decision to make
was nearing as I shivered with cold.

The wind howled all around me
I heard voices
with each Zephyrous breath
should I trudge on
into the unknown
or gracefully accept my own death?

The voices were loud and angry
I recognized them
as my own
the storm that raged
was inside of me
the seeds of the clouds I had sewn.
