Subject: So unfair

Im an Irish dancer and my school is doing an 8-hand championship ceili dance for our school feish. Our teacher asked my class to give her a show of hands of people that were intrested in being a part or it and I raised my hand. I even told her after class and the following week that I was still very intrested in being in it and she said "ok". Last week at class she was pairing people up to practice the ceili dance and I wasnt picked. I asked why and she said she had already "picked her group". She couldnt give me a straight answer. I think that is because their are some other adult dancers older then me (Im 23) that she confides all her ideas and decisions in. I feel like they must have talked her out of the idea of letting me participate. Also, in the 8-hand group there is a new girl. She is a first time dancer and she got picked. This is also our team for Oireachtus. Is this unfair and how do I tell my teacher that it is without making her mad?

[> I would definitely try to talk to your teacher. I can't imagine why an Oireachtas team would include a new student vs. a more experienced one! -- Anonymous, 18:59:34 07/29/05 Fri [1]
