Into the center, his red and black feathered and furred body slinking along in the shadows. He turns his gryphonish beak from the lowered position he had held it in and opened his beak partly. Snuffing loudly, he gathers a scent. Then, without hesitation, he shoots off without another word, gone before anyone could react.
