She smiles proudly and says with difficulty,"I am proud of you and I forgive you and the pack."She gasps and goes on,"Just do not make the same mistakes as Sage brush did and you will be a great leader as well as my cubs." She lifts her head and licks his muzzle before putting her head lightly back to the ground with a light thud.She smiles one last time, a twinkle in her eye and then her eyes shut and she passes away.
