Subject: I MISS that train

Every weekend my parent would ask what I wanted to do - I pretty much said 'go to the museum' every time. Of course, what I really wanted to do was look at train. I would run around the room following a train from one end of the track to the where it disappeared into the wall and then run back around and wait for it to come out again. Somehow, I have a vague recollection of not ever being patient enough to see the SAME train come back out - but latching on to the next one running the run again. I see to remember little trucks on a moving road and a "Z" scale??? train on a loop in the backround near the south? end of the layout (maybe a little tiny mining train?).

I want pictures of the layout badly, but see from a previous poster that the museum did not keep any....How sad.... 35 years later I am collecting materials to start my own (first) N scale layout - I only have 4x8 space, but it'll be a tribute to CMSI and the wonder that their layout inspired in a 6 year old a long time ago.

Cheers,
-g
