Amidst all the pressure and wild speculations drawn on who are to be billed as this year's Mabuhay Beauties judging from the texts and emails that we receive 24/7, we want to stick with our decision not to divulge their names with photos until the 2006 Binibining Pilipinas Official Candidates have been announced during the Final Screening which will take place on Saturday, February 4th, or more appropriately, the morning after, Sunday, February 5th (at around 3:00 am as has always been the case). I could also understand the tremendous pressure building up on the other camp's main man Rodgil Flores also sticking to his decision not to disclose any name of his other bets other than the gorgeous Miss Anna Maris Igpit, who so graciously emailed us several fabulous on and off-studio shots, until the official candidates have been selected.

With the excitement reaching fever pitch, following are some short stats of the (nameless) girls being groomed by Mabuhay for this year's Bb. Pilipinas, all under the concerted effort of Jonas Gaffud (the soul of Mabuhay ü), Gareth Blanco, Cata Figueroa, Ruffa, Nad Bronce (Speech training), Ces Evangelista, Johnny Quest (Yet Asuncion not fielding a bet this year):

*** 18 yo, 5'11" - raw but focused, and as Jeff Jet puts it, reminds one of the young unaffected Celia Rodriguez *** 21 yo, 5'9" - a beauty title to her name and a boost-up confidence easily takes care of the rest
*** 22 yo, 5'6" - never underestimate the height for she was once crowned as her region's loveliest, and indeed she is. A Gladys Dueñas lookalike
*** 22 yo, 5'5.5" - another girl not ot be overlooked inspite of her height, her facial symmetry and body proportions justify it. Classy and brainy, a Juliana Palermo clone!
*** 25 yo, 5'8.5" - Sophia Loren, Jackie Aquino, and Nina Richie Alagao all rolled into one
*** 19 yo, 5'9" - deadringer for s girl who competed in Bb. Pilipinas a few years back and later on, took the bumpy ride to showbiz
*** 18 yo, 5'7" - Joanne Santos and Merryl Streep look like her or she looks like them?
*** 22 yo, 5'7" -
*** 19 yo, 6'0" -
