Subject: 'Sleepless nights'- a rp from Matt Andrews

((This is a RP i used in the SWA, just so you know. I prefer this narative style to roleplay, but its difficult to do rps in this way without a match to talk about! Hope this gives you all a better idea of the quality of my normal rps))


A dark room. Matt Andrews furniture, and Matt himself can just be seen, sat on the sofa. He holds in his hand a sheet of paper, the card for the upcoming edition of Warfare. He was disappointed. He looks at the phone, wondering if he should call the bookers, to ask, no, demand the match he craves most.

This is not what he wanted, a random match? He could be taking on anyone, and he knew some possible opponents could not possibly put on a match that would do 'Masterful' Matt Andrews justice. There was only one match he wanted.

A match with Jun Luc.

But he couldn’t stoop to the Ringlords level, he could not just attack him until he got the match, using their own underhand tactics, he would have to bide his time, until he and Maximoff would enter the ring, and Matt would show the world how good he is, how deserving he is.

Matt tried to relax a little; after all, the match would happen eventually. It made good business sense to save it for a pay-per-view for a number of reasons. It would get both competitors 'psyched', and would put more history behind what was guaranteed to be a mother of a match.

Matt smiled at that, the thought, egotistical though it was, to be the centre of such attention, to attract so much interest.

And of course, there was every possibility that they would be draw together on Warfare.

In any case, whenever they met, be it on Wednesday, in a month a year, be it in a ring or a car park, Matt would give it his all. He would put on a show to end all shows and he would teach Jun Luc Maximoff one, vital lesson. The lesson that Matt Andrews is the be-all and end-all of Professional Wrestling, and Maximoff, or any other of his Ringlord cronies didn’t like it, then Matt would take them on, and give each the privilege of taking the Masterclass.

In the meantime, he was champion, he was the top of the company. A win over Maximoff would be the icing on the cake.

He picked up the belt, the SWA2 World Survivor Champions Belt. It would hold pride and place on his mantelpiece for a long time to come.

He looked at his watch, 2am. He stood up to go to bed. He carefully puts the belt back over the mantelpiece, and promised himself to keep pushing, to keep improving.

That was what made him a Master of Wrestling. Regardless of how far he had gone, he would push further, strive to be better. Someday he would be held as on of the most outstanding athletes of his time, in the meantime, he was content to be the SWA Survivor Champion.
