M'pater was in the long patrol and we were very proud of him. he was a colonel doncha know! One day he was killed in an ambush by a fox and his band. Now m'mater and i didn't live in the jolly old mountain. she was chlostrophobic an all that. so we lived in a small hut not too far from the mountain. when we heard m'pater was dead o'course we went into mournin an didn't let anybody come near us. allot o' the hares from the mountain offered t'stay with us for awhile but m'mater turned 'em all away. that was a HUGE mistake! Later, about 5 days later, that same fox and his band raided our house and burned m'mater, ALIVE, inside. I was taken as a slave for about 3 seasons. then i escaped and came to redwall. that's about it!
