I am a ferret, as were my mother, father, and probably their mothers and fathers.But anyway, my father was a black furred beast, like me, but with gray eyes. My mother was your ordinary brown ferret, but with black eyes. I shared their love of weapons from the first day i held one. One winter, when i was five seasons old, the ferret clan i lived in was moving to warmer regions. The only ones who they took were those who were able to get around and fight. That night, the leaded, of the clan, Hookeye Southwind chose who to stay and who to leave. he didnt kill those who were left. He let nature do its bidding. The winter winds became bitter in the valley i was born in. I left, and ventured for food, not knowing where i was going. Pretty soon, i was lost, and in a strange region. I was exausted, and hungry, so i was unable to stop from collapsing by the bank of a river. I heard voices as i went through a series of hallutionations. I awoke in a large, warm room, the Infirmary at Redwall! A kind old nurse told me to stay for a few days, and i was a feirce creature then, unable to control my ferret instincts. Pretty soon, a band of dibbuns rescued me and i became part of their band.
