It was a sunny day in Mossflower with liitle clouds in the air.I had no mom that I knew of and passed m y life in the woods close to Redwall.One day I went too far in the woods and sat there,lost.Then,in the distance,I heard screams and I smelled smoke.Rushing over to the place,I discovered the ruins of a hut and the mangled bodies of ferrets and two otters. i sat down, wondereing why the vermin had done this.Evidence that the two otters had fought hard was everywhere,from the blood on the wood to the ferret bodies everywhere.Then I heard a sound.A tiny,weak,faint cry,like a hurt baby.I seard=ched the surrounding area until I found the source.A tiny otterbabe in a blanket was crying her heart out.I guessed that the otters were her mum an dad.I felt sorry for her,not knowing that she was an orphan.i decided to go live at the abbey.I named the otter Ellayo,after a dear squirrel friend.
Now we live in Redwall and are happy to make mischief wif DAB!
