Aaron, ever since he was a very young mouse, has been searching for his lost past. He ran away from his so-called home when he was an orphan, with only himself to take care of, in a forest in the middle of nowhere when he was bored to near insanity.
He had his first encounter with another beast when he ended up in a desert and collapsed from the heat. He was rescued by a travelling otter, who took him to a nearby oasis, where he recovered. The otter's name was Phineas (but back then, Aaron thought his name was too hard to say, so he called him "Finny") and was his first teacher, teaching him the ways of travelling.
Later in his years, he learned archery from a band of hares. It was there where he discovered a talent he never knew he had. When he was done practicing his accuracy and went to retrieve his arrows, another student unknowingly fired at him. Without thinking, he immedeately stepped out of the arrow's path, just as it struck the exact place where he once stood! Today, he calls it a god-given gift.
Many years later he ran into a wolf by the name of Caleb Lunar, who captured him and took him to his pack, where his leader ordered Caleb to kill his prisoner. Caleb, to Aaron's surprise, denied this order. The pack turned on him, banishing him from their sights, but wanted to keep Aaron to satisfy their need to kill. Caleb had other plans; he rescued Aaron and they both made their escape. Since then, they have been close friends, although they do go their seperate ways from time to time.
After a few years, he was led to the claimed domain of Morice, an owl, who tried to kill him on sight. Aaron found refuge inside the cottage of another mouse, Ilona. Here he learned that Ilona's family had been murdered by Morice, and she was the only remaining member of her known family. Using Ilona's father's sword, he took on Morice to make him pay for this unjustice and to save Ilona from him. But in the end it was Ilona who saved him and found the courage to strike down Morice. Since then, they've never left each other's side, travelling together.
