Subject: Our Talkatively Bizzare Mousemaid (AGAIN!)

Brilliant, some call her. Mostly, though, this mousemaid is classified as strange.

Thistle Willowsong Longfaith was born with great intelligence. But, to the horror of the Abbey Sisters, she's gotten into some of their books. Now the maid won't be quiet at all; she babbles on about random things, from apocalypses to zuchinni harvesting. While Riao talks on about his physics, Thistle takes a more...ah...interesting approach.

For instance: REM, astral projection, ectoplasmic phenomena, extraterrestrial life, how storms are created, bookbinding, how to make pear souffle, insects and arachnids, woodland facts that no one wants to know, sentence structure and diagramming, and, of course, strawberries.

I'd hate for you to be trapped in a room with no one but Thistle. She proclaimed herself Strawberry Queen a few seasons ago, and now she has her own elite Strawberry Patrol: Rotin, Cielbal, Swifttree, Elmeye, and Brockrose. She's around 4 seasons old (but her creator is that plus ten!), and she knows far too much.

Thistley will be a warriormaid when she gets older. The little mousemaid made a bet with Sister Louiselle. Thistle said she could eat a whole barrel of strawberries in one hour. Louiselle laughed and made the bet anyway: Thistle could do that, she'd get her sword!

And the mousemaid did.

So, now the maid has her precious amythest pommel-stoned sword that her father left for her at the Abbey. Miss Thiss also loves to draw. In her satchel that she carries everywhere there is usually a stick of charcoal and some parchment.

Her looks aren't too much out of the ordinary for a young mousemaid: light tan fur, large ears, small, always dressed in various purples...oh, yes. She has purple eyes. Through some bizzare genetic mess up (another one of Thistle's favorite subjects: genetics) she ended up with purple eyes. Not bright, mind you, but purple enough to stand out upon closer inspection. Thistle's pretty, too, in a quirky, lopsided way.

Her parents...not much needs to be said. They were slain on an outing, and Thistle was picked up by some gypsy foxes who wanted to eat her. Urgh. But instead they decided to take her to Redwall; one of their own was so troublesome that they brought the two at the same time. Horribly cliched, yes, but at least she has some idea of what happened to them. Not like her Aunt Miralissa, who disappeared when her mother was young (but she doesn't know that, yet...). But the mystery aunt did give her a friend that looks remarkably like her (even more so than Rotin! *gasp*). Mirabel is not a very active member of DAB, but she's Thistle's friend nonetheless. ((Mirabel is a good friend of mine in Real Life))

You wanna know how she is when she's 16 seasons old? Go to: www.geocities.com/lazyqueenstrawberry/index.html and then click on "Thistle in the Waking Life".

Have fun!
