When Lyra was very young, she and her family of otters were living happily by the river Moss. But they were attacked by vermin and were forced to wander, trying to find a home. One day a huge storm hit. Lyra was separated from her parents. Shge wandered Mossflower woods until she ran into Theena, who was running away from Redwall for a night. Theena took the young otter back to redwall and she joined DAB.
