Murrla's mother and father came from a long line of respectable mole farmers that lived on the fertile banks of the River Moss. The moles lived a happy, simple life until the day Kor Amunca, a terribly cruel weasel leader of a band of thugs, came down south into Mossflower. The poor mole families were forced to flee. Murrla's mother and father made it to Redwall after almost half a season of running, where they live happily today. But they never found out about the other moles and Kor still roams the woods. (Jeez, that's a quest/story starter if I ever heard one!) Murrla was too young to remember the farm, but she was old enough to remember their terrible flight, which is why she is one of the few Dibbuns too afraid to go outside the Abbey's walls.
