Subject: Updated info about playing NFD!

P.I. Dio was on duty last night and broke into the NFD vaults!
I have their films from their win over GRU.
They won every game. I feel they have good players, and that is why they won. GRU (good guys) didn't have communication in their games. That is key sometimes.
Here are their films if you wish to see them for yourselves.
Thought they could change their strats at any time. They had a ton of success....so I don't think they will change much. We will be prepared otherwise though.

My reviews of their wins: If you want to see their trade..watch the films real quick, you can hit f2. I encourage this.
Poison- They had a 3 prong tactic and just sweeped throught them. They melted 4 wigs giving them alot of puss. This is very effective on Fg's. After GRU Fg's were gone..not much could touch their souls (they had 18). With good duffing and communication, they didn't have a problem with them.

Krak- They stole 1 of my strats with a huge thrall herd (36) and took them up through mid underwater to GRU home flag and easily taking it. They had a fair amount of puss and only 2 arcs. They made sure ghols got the duffs before thrall charged.

Shuffle- This was over in NO time! GRU didn't get on their flag fast enough (like us) and NFD was able to slip through mid with a bunch of myrks tagging 2 of the flags on GRU's side. Not good. They lacked seriouly on ranged. They did a normal 3 prong like most ppl. GRu could have won this if they didn't space out their units and if they communicated where the enemy was.

Tam- 1/2 the units went mid and the other 1/2 went to the snowed hills. Ghols touched other flag. A few ghols grabbed the mid ball, bring it back to their side where they have height advantage. Smart. After that it was just lack of GRU regrouping and they were out matched.

Caer- They had a 3 prong..strongest was in mid. They kept their pigs way back almost alone. This was just a going back and forth type game. NFD got in 1 pig and won it.

The changes I would like to see in each game: More communication. Other than that...we did great. I can't complain.
Poison- I like their strat...just not their trade. I don't like that many souls...
FG's take out souls and get healed.
Dorfs can take more damage than normal..they have a good throw.
HG's can heal fom a good distance!
Ghasts are a waste.
Mauls are a waste.
Key to winning is Pern's slow but slender ghasts and FG's staying alive!

Krak- What do you think about getting less puss and sinking 2 wights in mid pool?
Other than that..I still think we could win it.

Shuffle- get to mid as fast as you can. 1 of the flanks hold at 1 flag for a minute before racing to river. That way we can stay grouped and not fall fast like GRU. We send all the melee on the 1 flank to mid...so as to keep them from crossing...enableing pern to get onto mid home flag.
Other than that, we should do the same. Iccy and I will just pause at our flag..or visa versa.

Tam- change nothing really, I like our charge and kill attitude with sherman bouncing around. Sherm..you will have to stay more focused with ghols (you did great!) ..I haven't watched our films yet to see how you tagged..but they had groups going around touching...you may run into more trouble than OoH.

Caer- Keep those pigs back more Iccy :) I wanna send 2 wights to our flanks. Spiders need to go to flanks like before and go along ridge undetected! Then head to their rear mid without coming into contact with their main mid force. They really didn't guard them well back there. I can map out what I mean..or just watch the films.

Watching the films..you get a good idea how they play...very spread out. I have played Father Xmas and several other NFD's. CRC is prolly their best player. Mr.Tree I wuld rank him their 2nd best. Not a biggie..I saw both of them make mistakes and a few of the Tanks wouldn't have a problem dealing with them. They tend to not like ranged and go for the melee more. Thye enjoy puss :)
