basically because we're all human, and all have the same structures of perception and knowledge.

i read in ..i think it might have been the schopenhauer book, an argument that went something like this:

humans have evolved not to acquire knowledge or truth, but to survive

the ways in which we approach reality are not geared towards knowledge, or even accurately representing what the world really looks like, but to use and mold the world so that we can flourish as lifeforms
(which makes sense, as we don't see infrared frequences and x rays and all that crap...which would be part of the true way of looking at the world)

therefore, from an evolutionary standpoint, humans share the same interpretations of reality because we're all human, and have all evolved the same mechanisms for approaching the world.

therefore, we all share the same reality as well--but that doesn't mean there is objective "truth" in what we all share, except as it exists for us.

does that make sense?
