Okay - let me back-track for you then.

Double elimination doesn't start until AFTER the QR pools then. So you can techincally lose two of the three matches in your QR pool, but if your points enable to you survive the cut of the final 32 or 16 teams for the ladder portion of the tourney, you are still in.

Idiot proof question: Nope.

Currently there are 28 teams registered, and I know one team has disbanded, so there's really just 27. I've suggested that MWC 2005 adds bye weeks to the first DE ladder round, rather than having a bunch of teams elminated after the QR pools end.
