Subject: TC Vs Np

Well most tanks were hovering around so they know the score but for those of you who don't it was 51 - 8, not to us :p In general I found the main issue was lack of practise and since we are all busy people its completely understandable which is why I'm not too bothered about losing to Np. Np are also the favourites sorta like France in Euro 2004 even though they drew with Croatia (though croatia arent too bad so many thats an unfair comparison) :p

Hver:

From what I saw there was a lot of confusion and hence ppl (myself included) forgot to pick up puss or fire arrows. By the time this was realised it was ultimately too late since Np were on the ball and made the most out of the situation. I don't know what happened in mid or N so I cant comment but down S there was a little bit of miscommunication between me and Pern :) Expecting Pern to have gone deep S whereas I was meant to go mid S, it ended up with both of us going mid S doh! As a result Np backtracked to cover and on our retreat we got pussed a lot :) In the end they caught our flag, max pts to them, 0 to us

Trow:

I feel this was a mistake on my part since I was cap and forgot to ask dio what unit selection was thus I feel we were out meleed. I went S with dio with 3 trow some zerks and myms and about 3 fetch\2duffs. As clank predicted they would send 3 trow mid but as I predicted (;p) once they saw my 3 trow S the 3 trow also came S. I carelessly lost a trow (since I wasnt watching the map at that point in time while I planned my escape for the melee) whilst killing 3 fetch. Due to the lack of melee Nps 3 trow finished our flank off rather quickly and I ended up just walking about with my 2 trow for a little bit until they 6 flagged us. Again not too sure what happened in mid so max pts for Np, 0 for us

Smells:

The strat was sound but I felt I made the biggest error due to lack of practice. We were to guard flags 2 and 3 whilst there was meant to be a ghol and heron flank. I was in control of the heron flank but due to lack of knowledge of the map, whilst going down a corridor I thought was safe, I was ambushed and ended up splitting my heron and leading each small pack to certain death. I felt this was the deciding mistake since I didnt actually kill anything in return and lost the most valuable units on the map so er sorry :d We managed to get 4 flags whilst they got all the flags so max pts to them and 8 to us.

I think theres a lot to learn from that last match, we need to practise :) We have Dio our master tactician working on the strats and I feel that even if we don't practice together as a team (although this would be better) it would be good to get the custom made films by dio showing us the strats just to see the general idea of what it is we wanted to achieve. Also if ppl have time to just have a look at the map, not necessarily to play but just to unzip it (since we're in DE now), make a quick 1 player game and explore the terrain. I know its asking a lot since we're all busy but just to have a look at a few films and have an explore of the map would only take 10-15 minutes of one day (you wouldnt need to do this everyday:) and I think it would make the situation much better for us! Anyways I thought it was pretty funny yesterday and I'll see y'all on pm.net :)
