Enga needs a better hospital and the location is ideal for future expansion as well. The current hospital has no space for expansion.

It will not go down well with the rugby fans but after last season performance in and out of field, I'm not too worried.

No home games for Enga Mioks

Toyota Enga Mioks will not host any SP Cup games in Wabag this year after their popular Johnson Siki Oval Aipus, Newtown was proposed to be converted to build a new provincial hospital.
It will put off 300,000 plus league lovers to watch their team, Mioks, play in other centres if the proposed hospital was built there.
In addition, the local competition is also in limbo because there is no suitable league ground where proper games could be staged.
The decision follows after Enga Governor Peter Ipatas met with his top provincial government management team this week in Wabag, proposing to relocate the current provincial hospital near the main market to Aipus oval.
Ipatas announced before a capacity crowd in Wabag town on Monday that the hospital would be built at and vicinity of the rugby field.
He said the current location of the hospital was very crowded and unavailability of reserve land for the expansion and development of the hospital was becoming a concern.
The provincial government has already allocated K500,000 from the 2008 budget to start the project while K200,000 has put aside for the relocation and construction of the field.
But the league fans and supporters are in darkness as Governor Ipatas did not elaborate where the rugby field would be built and progress of the local games.
“It would be satisfactory if the hospital was built else where near the rugby field ideally at Leambus village. Aipus field has been there since 1970s, where it began to get much publicity in 1990s to 2000s when PNG Kumuls host couple of international matches. It would be painful to deform and give away the historic oval to other places, some legitimate Sikira landowners told The National, yesterday.

relocated the residence areas and make way for the expansion at lower cost. This will be very expansive and will cause limbo for the game that is played in heaven! plis o, what kind of technical advisers are proposing the Relocations exercise? Don't tell me its just someone's night dream being recommended.
I wud suggest that:
1. Re-do a landscaping within the same area and
2. Construct decent duplex and complex buildings
3. Relocate the adjacent residential areas for expansion
4. If the pawas buai market area is a gov't land, then relocated the market and the residential areas. Its really an eye sore at the entrance of the capital.
The current location is the most suitable location. Me les lo ol birua kilim mi lo kain kona nabaut...

and please leave that field alone coz thats one of the best fields i've ever played on and the landscape is great. You don't need a stadium, though!
Ol sot lo idea oh....

sapos EPG sot lo advisers, go lo iraq na hirim gen, lol!!!
