Subject: So why do the bad leaders keep coming back?

I have been reading all the postings and discussions about the current MPs and potential leaders and it seems there isn't a single person that is a perfect fit for all the qualities discussed.

It also seems as if there is no one that is going to match up to the standards and attributes that are demanded of a leader in this forum. Something is always wrong or missing or lacking. In my humble opinion, there is no perfect person (includying myself). Sometimes we have to accept a smaller bad for a greater good. I am not advocating corruption here but I am saying, we should accept that every individual, leader or no leader, has a bad side. But I agree that leaders are EXPECTED to SERVE and a higher standard of moral and ethical practice is expected from them.

Maybe we should also ask the question - why are the bad/corrupt leaders keeping getting back into public office?

peace

The actual question was 'why do the bad leaders keep coming back?'.
Why did you insert the word 'so' at the beginning of your question? Does it make the question clearer? Or do you like the sound of that useless word 'so'?
Love to know. It is a universal trend, the adding of useless words to one's lexicon.
A bit like: 'I guess.' Means absolutely nothing but uncertain speakers resort to "I guess" when they feel unsure of themselves, or they simply feel it's cool to say "I guess".

The Quipper,

You are the most screwed-up writer to ever set foot on this forum. Why being a lexicon your self? You just do not make bloody make sense at all arguing about the word SO, goodness gracious........ha!ha!ha!, get real.

It is a pity that ignorance is an aspiration for most of you jokers. It shows in the manner of your writing. No wonder Enga is in such a mess, with you lot trying to act so cool and so dumb at the same time.
As for the nonsensical expression, 'get real', it is soooooooooo passe, that only morons use it these days.
Maybe you might want to try another cliche, 'get a life'?

Most of the wantoks have been snafued by Ipatas and his cronies and most of Enga accepts this crap. The fact that Enga has been ruled by a criminal seems not to have upset too many Engans. This is what condemns most of you. You actually think you are benefiting from being ruled by a criminal. But the only trouble is, the criminal does not share his largesse.

The Quipper,

No need to argue with you but just a comment:
Status Quo of Enga begs us to Get Real with issues(Elections, development, services) at hand and after that when everything is achieved, we can all pursue your cliche 'Get a Life. If you are living elsewhere apart from Enga, maybe you got yourself a Life, for me, I am still living in Enga. Therefore, I (all of us home)wish to get real with issues affecting us home so that the aftermath is a life to live peacefully.

So I still stand, GET REAL.

Quipper the English teacher,

I don't think PNGean is overly concerned about grammar or the nitty gritty of the whiteman's language when he put up this post for public discussion.

I think what PNGean is trying to say is, "Why are we, the constituents of respective electorates, keep returning these numbskulls back to office? We should not ask these so-called leanders. It is us, the people, who mandate these bunch of useless year in year out. No wonder they keep screwing us everytime they getr there.

We should be decisive in casting our votes. Obviously to leaders who will make a difference to our lives, our children lives, our province and country.

So far people are making decisions and voting along tribal lines, marriage links, moka connections, etc..which means the same old piece of shits will keep returning.
