Hey Pal (.)

You are very inhumane in your blunt and disrespectful response. You take Sir Albert to be some random human being when you forget he served 3 times as Wabag MP! Regardless of how you percievably obsorbed Sir Albert and his contribution to the modern hallmarkes of Engan politics, he still deserves respect and the right to be recognized as one of Enga's most influential leaders. We, the current generation, stand on the mistakes and achievements of our past politicians and leaders.

SO HAVE SOME RESPECT!!! (What "real" Engan are you planning on becoming if you can't learn from your predecessors who grew up in your own cultural context?!)

First, do not call me pal; insipid people employ such terms;
Secondly, deem your have an aimless structure in what you say hence do not give a rat's arse about it. periods of toolboys are over; i do not give a rat's arse on you too. Hardly, could a residual be determined to deserve such 'respect'. What pillars had been erected that substantially ameliorated the common engan's livelihood.

Thirdly, I reckon you apologize for demanding my respect.

Tis bones do babies of your physical calibre need. Mind you my bones calculate more than the average human and should i need more??

Snails move at a pace outdone by the horny rabbits but by Enga, shall the job be done... Being spoonfed ain't all bad as much as one self-fed on trash and emitting methane gas.. Need you talk more??

Vale
Sir Albert Kipalan
Wantok
Hero
Trail blazer

Albert Kipalan was my friend
He and Leoas opened our eyes
to the potential of Enga and us Engans

In 1978 when Ipatas was a teenager on the make
and Don Kapi and Leoas Kipalan became our provincial
leaders, Albert was thinking and acting with a wider vision, taking in all of our country as his purview.

Sometimes he would cross the Wara Lai
and sit with us at Sari
and then we knew how truly big was his mind
his outlook
his vision
he saw more than we did
he had bigger eyes
and a bigger heart

He took Enga to Waigani
and made us proud
now he's in heaven
with our God

We will miss Sir Albert
He was unique
uniquely Engan

VALE

Sir Kipalan has contributed a lot to the progress of this country as a magistrate and a politician and his record speaks louder than anyone of us can ever tell. His untimely passing is just sorrowful and I share in his family's grief.

His first wife was here in Sydney for the WYD with a couple of young pilgrims from Enga and a documentary crew did an interview with them which I had the privilege of translating.

She spoke highly of him as a loving father and husband afterwards.

My heartfelt condolences to all the grieving members of the Kipalan family.

RIP

I had a fond respect for Albert when I was manager of Coltra and of Wabag Lodge back in the late 70s and 80s. Our family's home at landamanda overlooked Teremanda and Sari and often Albert walked up the hill and sat on the grass with us and the afternoons wafted by so pleasantly.

He was a good bloke. We all loved him. Even though I was older than my friend I had a deep respect for his penetrating insights into the world of culture, religion and politics. He and Akii Tumu and Luke Kembol and Ben Lokain and Peter Piaoen and Theo Askon walked Enga with grace.

Don Kapi and Leoas Kipalan also were beneficiaries of the legacy of Albert but none reached the heights that my friend Albert reached.

I am disheartened to read the mockery contained in some lines written on this forum by a longlong who has no idea of respect and of Enga.

My son was born at Sopas. Landapen still carries his Enga name for we are all Piao and we are all Engan, no matter our birthplace and colour off skin.

Sir Albert, old mate, I'll look for you when my time arrives and maybe we'll have a few laughs as we did all those long years ago.

See you later, wantok.

Lyang Adrian Kepe,

My father told me about you and it is suprising to know that you're still alive. Maybe I have have seen you during my childhood days. And my dad is a great supporter to Late Sir. Albert Kipalan.

Do have some old pics? I'll show it to my dad before he kicks the bucket.

Leaders are born and not made. At these times there are few leaders with ethical qualities who serve their people with a heart.Sir Albert was one of those rare leaders of the country and in recognition he was ordained Sir title which might take ages for others.

I admire his leadership capabilities. Read of his tributary inaugural (eulogy) message delivered by his son and I was very sad to know his courteous personalities that he has for family and friends. He left a great legacy not to be commended by a bragger in Enga.

RIP

Eagle Eyes

I agree with you! I have met Sir Albert personally as he would come around my place with my father when Dad was not an MP. The chats we would have during the 90s made me feel at ease with someone who contributed enormously to PNG politics. He a simple man with a big heart and I will never forget his sincerity!

Truly PNG has lost someone great!
