Peter Kanaparo, you are not wrong.

Obviously Peter Ipatas introduced the the school fee policy and backed it up by continuously making available funds in the provinces annual budget.

I feel sorry for the writer who apparently must not have been in Enga or PNG for the last 10 or 11 years.

Jeffery Balakau like all those selfish and corrupt Enga so-called leaders did nothing constructive during his term. He betrayed the trusting Enga people who voted him in purely on sentimental reasons.

Due to his youth and obvious lack of leadership qualities (I mean modern day leadership qualities like ample public or private sectors experience and education) he messed up and was unceremoniously removed by PI.

However, despite PI's good intention esapecially on Human Resources Development through the school fee initiative, his general administration for the last couple of terms is below par. All of Enga knows that he is as corrupt as sin itself.

Hence the onus is now om Enga to hand pick a new candidate with vision to bring change to Enga. Tangible changes that will touch the lives of ordinary Engans in the villages through all levels of society. The new candidates can maintain and improve the school fee initiative as well as introducing a host of others that will benefit us and are relevant to our situation.

Mind you, I have nothing against PI (action governor). In fact I am an Apulin and one of his tribesman. As an educated Engan, i just think for Fair and Balanced administration of the province Enga in the 21st century should be led by a educated, capable, incorruptible, visionary, principled, and God-fearing citizen....And Enga has a host of candidate that fits this criteria. Find that person and give him/her the mandate!

61, Good Engan,

We need more so called educated Engans to think along the same line to influence the way we think and do things. When we starting bargaining our educated mind and self identity (principal) for temporal gain, nothing good remains in us, we would be just like them (corrupted leaders or village councillors).

Suggestions of minimum criteria mentioned in this forum is a good benchmark. Stick to benchmarks and do elimination through campaign periods into polling. My only suggestion is that former MPs haven't proven themselves, so there shouldn't be a second change of consideration. Yes, Enga has good host of leaders now with proven track records and one of them can be mandated.
