A MOTHER of four was stabbed in the stomach by three thugs inside a shop in Mt Hagen city in broad daylight last week before the raskols escaped with her belongings.
The three youths armed with long pocket knives held her up and stole K580 cash and two return plane tickets to Port Moresby which were inside her bag, before stabbing her and walking out of the Shoe Shop.
Janet Titos, from Yakananda village in Wabag district of Enga province, is recovering from her horrific ordeal at her aunt’s house at Solo Gate in Mt Hagen.
Mrs Titos said she screamed after she was stabbed but the security guards did nothing to stop the three youths fleeing. She needed 19 stitches to her stomach for her injuries.
