Pipol...just curious about Ipatas' media outburst on his so-called Free Education policy. Below are few points that need explanation:
1. Invested K80Million? What is the dividend the people of Enga got from this investment!
2. Quality Education? Ipatas & Amean hasnt defined quality education as yet. Quality education doesnt exist in a newly built classroom.
3. Christian & MORAL principles? Does this reflect him? A leader as to lead by example and not my mere words when actions contradict it.

Education is Enga’s priority
THE Enga provincial government has invested more than K80 million on education for the past 10 to 15 years.
Governor Peter Ipatas, when addressing separate graduation ceremonies at two secondary schools at Pausa and Wabag last Friday, said more than half of the money was spent on paying school fees for thousands of students under the subsidy scheme.
“My government has so far invested more than K80 million on education and I am looking forward to ensuring that our children get the best education because the future of our province lies there,” he said.
Mr Ipatas said like this year, his government would not pay any school fees for the students as he would continue to allocate funds to promote his new quality education policy.
“We had a reason to shift the school subsidy policy to promote quality education this year and we will continue to do so next year. This means that the parents will have to pay for their children’s school fees,” he added.
Mr Ipatas said Four Square and Amapyaka International schools had their libraries equipped with email and internet connection under the new policy.
He said other schools, for which his government had already allocated funds to carrying out maintenance work on existing facilities to provide similar learning facilities, included Wabag, Pausa and Surunki high schools.
Mr Ipatas said under the new policy, his government had come up with an arrangement to allow churches to run most of the schools in the province, adding Pausa, Kandep, Surunki, Kopen, Four Square and Kompiam high schools would be completely run by churches starting from next year.
“It is part of our quality education strategy to allow churches to be in charge of running the schools.
“Through this, we strive to instil strict discipline by way of promoting Christian and moral principles that are vital for human development in schools,” he said.
