During my recent trip back home, driving became very risky at night because, people were drinking on public road and caused nuisance to the travelling public. Within a week, i encountered two incidence.

One was in Laiagam town, when a group of drunks, obviously drinking "steam" or home brew, sat on the bumper of the car i was driving. Fortunately someone recognised me and told the would be tugs to get off the car. The other incident happened at "Wakapip" close to Yakenda, where another obviously drunk tug almost smashed the car i was driving with a big rock. Fortunately, a PMV bus belonging to one of my tribesman assisted me and got rid of the tug.

Beer has been banned in Enga, but, there is a loophole. People who own hotels and guest houses are allowed to sell beer. Malya Hotel seems to be placing all the orders and Governor Ipatas' cronies tend to take advantage of that and set up guest houses with no customers, but, are becoming outlets for selling beer only. If there is a blanket ban on beer sales and consumption in Enga, i think most of the problems, such as drunk tugs stoning cars and drunk tugs causing unnecessary trouble will come to a stop.

I believe the illegals sale of beer in the province is promoted by the Governor himself.

Wantoks,

The laws are made for little people like you and me only.
The likes of Ipatas and Potane are above the laws of our beloved country. They can do anything as they wish. People like them have a special addiction to money, even if they have millions of times more than what they require, they will always be hungry for more. And Potane desperately needs extra cash in the new year to meet his children's education in US dollars so there you go. Desperation!

After all, don't forget, what goes around comes back' and some of these people are already being 'visited' by their own makings of events in the past.

Don't even envy them. They have no qualities at all that make them good leaders (not great leaders because they are not yet good leaders).
