recently, on my alternate email address listed in my Yahoo Mail profile, I
received "Password changed" email from
"Yahoo! Member Services" request@cc.yahoo-inc.com> which notified me that my password has been
changed by someone from IP 68.114.218.94.

I looked up the IP number and it seems to belong to Charter Communications
ISP, at www.charter.com

Since this is definetely not my IP and I have not accessed my Yahoo Mail
from U.S. lately, I guess my account has somehow been hacked :(

Since that mail, I am no longer able to log in to my account, nor access
any Yahoo Service.

I have tried recovering my password, but the I the system says the account
data does not match.

please help me!!!

This same thing happened to me some 3 months ago, was sent a link from a friend to a yahoo impersonating site, unbeknown to me. The very next day my password was changed, notification sent to my registered email address. The change occurred from an isp in USA and I reside in Australia.

To this day I have been unable to confirm my identity and can only assume that my details have been changed.

Yahoo are not helpful and the only email I receive are computer generated. I appealed to them for a new password based on a few correct facts that would confirm that the account is mine, but all I get is "we need to protect our members" which is utter crap, all they are doing is protecting some hacker that is using my ID. Why does Yahoo not accept that this is a security issue is beyond me.

This issue has been utterly infuriating and traumatic to me.

I think I am getting over it and then the friggin hacker signs in under the id that they stole and just stay logged on for hours. What the fuck do they think they are doing and why do they continue to do this after 3 months?

I tried ringing yahoo, but that all is a waste of time.
