Unless you are bigger then him, incredibly unlikely, not to mention stronger, his blow would simply slice through the spearshaft or trident prong and continue on to kill whoever attempted top block him, unless it was somebeast larger or stonger than him. That is very unlikely. At the time of his leaving, Karda was the largest wildcat in the northlands. I am ignoring brightfang's post. You shouldn't interupt an honor duel between two beasts. I am merely stating that a swing from a fully grown, enormous wildcat cannot be blocked by a trident prong. I know that both of these are entailed with size. Karda is, however, a cat. Cat's are naturally agile and quick. A large character would not necessarilly overheat faster in a short battle. This was not a long thread. Keep in mind that size does not always mean girth. Karda's size is mostly from a large skeletal structure and muscles.
