• She spent a while with the baby getting him back to sleep, turning on the mobile and eventually wandering out tot he balcony for a cigarette, settling on a chair and drawing her legs to her chest against the cool night air, gaze thoughtful and pensive as she sat with her cigarette. It was at least an hour until she returned to bed, after checking on the baby.
