>I have let the eggs in the coop and had 2 silkies, 2 buffs, a millie fleur, black jap and silver laced polishs' sit them. Well the silkies, buffs, and millie have done wonderfully. I am still waiting on the polish and jap to hatch eggs and I don't know if they are going to hatch though they were from the TX meet and so far I have found alot of the guinea eggs unfertilized, but they sit all the time in the coop even with the high temps of Yuma! The millie and silkies(which have passed away due to the heat) were great moms! The mutt chicks followed and took the moms cues like there were pros! So cute.. I am also, for the first time using a incubater, a little giant styro foam still air one. I am still waiting and again I am using it for the guinea eggs I got at the meet and am finding alot of unfertile ones so I have no idea. I like to watch the girls hatch there own. I also move mom and babies to there own are so she is less stressed, and don't have to worry about getting tramples on the others especailly the guineas are kinda rude. I where gloves to get eggs out from under my buffs and milllie otherwise I would have no skin left, I have scars from the buffs. I couldn't tell you my favorite mom variety because they are all wonderful in there own specail way.
