I have just rescued a chicken from a local barn. It is having breathing problems, when it breathes it is silent (no gurgling or anything) but it seems to be struggling for air and this happens every breath. What do I do? Is there anything I can give it to help it breathe easier? I have been hand feeding it warm mash and water, but the breathing is very worrying.

Please help if you can!
