That is a really great idea. I would have never thought. I guess as long as you wash it really good, it won't have the egg smell so they won't relate it to whats in the eggs they lay. I hear alot of people having trouble with egg eaters. Do you know what causes that? Could it be some kind of deficiency? When I separated my golden breeders I put my breeder hen in with all my baby goldens. She laid a couple more eggs before she stopped completely laying. I check on them all the time and found one egg had been pecked and broken open and three days later, another egg. same thing. I was thinking maybe the chicks were just curious and pecked it till it broke open. My hen had been seperated from her mate over a week when she laid these last two eggs so I wasn't upset about loosing them. Didn't think they would be fertile anyway. You have any advise on that?
